mohd-effendy.jpgDr Effendy is the current Executive Director of the Singapore Scout Association. Prior to this, he worked as a HRD Director (Adult Resources) in the World Scout Bureau of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), based in Geneva, Switzerland for several years.

Dr Effendy is a specialized leadership trainer. Over the years, he conducted and facilitated numerous Management, Leadership Development, Learning organisation and Interpersonal Skills courses and workshops/seminars for the senior leaders in Europe, S.Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Bosnia, Serbia-Montenegro, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia as well as for leaders in Singapore.

He is a certified internal consultant for the People Developer Standard of the Productivity and Standards Board and a certified Behavioural Consultant for administering and interpreting the personality system instrument for use in consulting, training and general counselling. In 2002, he received the Lifelong Learner Award by the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore .

He was a part-time lecturer and tutor with SIM for the Open University and RMIT University for four years (1999-2002) teaching management related subjects and Organisational Behaviour. He also lectured in the MBA – International Management programme of the RMIT University at the Malaysia Institute of Management. He also lectured in the Diploma in Employment Relations with the Singapore Institute of Labour Studies. He is also a Senior Trainer with Asia Academy for Retailing (亚洲零售学院).
